8 Best Website Builders for Singapore (2026)

Choosing the best website builder in Singapore is one of the first decisions any new business owner faces; and it is surprisingly easy to get wrong. Pick a platform that is too simple and you will outgrow it within months. Pick one that is too complex and you will spend more time wrestling with the dashboard than running your business.

We build websites professionally, so we have strong opinions here. But we also believe that not every business needs a custom-built site from day one. A well-chosen website builder can absolutely get you online quickly and affordably, as long as you understand what you are trading off.

This guide breaks down eight of the most popular website builders available to Singapore businesses in 2026. For each one, we cover real pricing (in SGD where possible), Singapore-specific considerations like PDPA compliance, local payment gateways and GST handling, and an honest take on who should; and should not, use it.

01

WordPress.org: The Self-Hosted Powerhouse

WordPress.org powers roughly 43% of all websites on the internet, and for good reason. It is open-source, endlessly extensible, and gives you complete ownership of your site and data. For Singapore businesses that want full control without platform lock-in, WordPress remains the gold standard.

The key distinction here is between WordPress.org (self-hosted, free software you install on your own hosting) and WordPress.com (a managed platform with tiered plans). We are talking about the self-hosted version, which is what most serious businesses use. You will need to purchase hosting separately, providers like SiteGround, Cloudways or A2 Hosting offer WordPress-optimised plans starting from around S$5–S$15 per month. Factor in a domain name (S$15–S$25/year) and you are looking at roughly S$10–S$20 per month to get started.

Where WordPress truly shines is its plugin ecosystem. WooCommerce turns it into a full e-commerce platform with Singapore payment gateways like PayNow, GrabPay and Stripe. Yoast SEO or Rank Math handle on-page optimisation. WPML or Polylang let you build a multilingual site for Singapore’s diverse audience. And because it is self-hosted, PDPA compliance is entirely in your hands, you can configure cookie consent, data retention and privacy policies exactly as you need them.

The trade-off is complexity. WordPress has a learning curve, and you are responsible for updates, security patches and backups. If you are not technically inclined, you will either need to learn or budget for ongoing maintenance. We have written a detailed comparison of WordPress versus custom-coded sites if you want to dig deeper.

Website: wordpress.org
Best for: Businesses that want full ownership, unlimited customisation and long-term scalability.
Pricing: Software is free; hosting from S$5–S$50/month depending on provider and plan.
Standout strength: Unmatched plugin ecosystem with 60,000+ free plugins covering virtually any feature you can think of.

02

Shopify: Best Website Builder Singapore E-Commerce Businesses Trust

If you are selling physical products, digital goods or subscriptions, Shopify is the most straightforward path to a professional online store. It is purpose-built for e-commerce, and it shows in every detail: from inventory management to checkout optimisation to abandoned cart recovery.

Shopify publishes Singapore-specific pricing in SGD, which is refreshing. The Basic plan starts at S$29/month (billed yearly), the Grow plan sits at S$99/month, and the Advanced plan runs S$399/month. There is also a Starter plan at S$7/month if you only need to sell through social media or messaging apps. All yearly plans come with a 25% discount compared to monthly billing.

For Singapore sellers, Shopify Payments is the built-in payment gateway and processes cards at competitive rates (roughly 3.2% + S$0.50 per transaction on Basic). It supports PayNow, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay out of the box. GST handling is built in, you can set tax rates by region and display GST-inclusive pricing, which is mandatory for Singapore B2C transactions. Shopify also integrates natively with local logistics providers like Ninja Van and J&T Express.

The limitation is flexibility. Shopify’s Liquid templating language is proprietary, so customising your theme beyond what the editor allows requires specialist knowledge. And if you ever decide to leave, migrating away from Shopify is significantly harder than migrating from, say, WooCommerce. You are renting the platform, not owning it.

Website: shopify.com
Best for: E-commerce businesses that want a reliable, all-in-one online store without technical overhead.
Pricing: S$7–S$399/month (SGD, billed yearly; monthly billing is higher).
Standout strength: Native Singapore payment gateways and logistics integrations that work out of the box.

03

Wix: The Drag-and-Drop Favourite for Small Businesses

Wix has come a long way from its early reputation as a “cheap and cheerful” builder. The current platform is genuinely capable, with a visual drag-and-drop editor that gives you pixel-level control over your layout. For Singapore small business owners who want to design their own site without writing code, Wix is one of the most intuitive options available.

Pricing starts with a free plan (with Wix branding and ads), then scales through four paid tiers: Light at US$17/month, Core at US$29/month, Business at US$39/month and Business Elite at US$159/month (all billed annually). You will need at least the Core plan to accept online payments, and the Business plan for features like automated sales tax and advanced e-commerce tools. Note that Wix prices in USD, so your actual SGD cost will fluctuate with the exchange rate, budget roughly S$23–S$215/month at current rates.

Wix’s App Market offers integrations with local payment providers, though the selection is not as extensive as WordPress or Shopify. For PDPA compliance, Wix provides a built-in cookie consent banner and privacy policy tools, but you will want to review the defaults carefully, they are designed for GDPR, not specifically for Singapore’s legislation. Wix ADI (Artificial Design Intelligence) can generate a basic site layout for you, though we find the results often need significant manual refinement.

The biggest drawback is portability. Wix sites cannot be exported. If you outgrow the platform or want to move to a different builder, you are essentially starting from scratch. The other concern is performance, Wix sites tend to load more slowly than custom-coded alternatives, which can affect your Core Web Vitals scores and search rankings.

Website: wix.com
Best for: Solo entrepreneurs and small businesses that prioritise ease of use over technical flexibility.
Pricing: Free plan available; paid plans from ~S$23–S$215/month (USD pricing, converted).
Standout strength: The most intuitive visual editor on the market, genuinely no coding knowledge required.

04

Squarespace: Polished Design for Portfolios and Brands

Squarespace has always been the “pretty” website builder, and in 2026 it still holds that crown. If you are a photographer, architect, interior designer, creative agency or any business where visual presentation is paramount, Squarespace’s templates are genuinely beautiful and require minimal customisation to look professional.

In early 2026 Squarespace rolled out a new four-plan structure: Basic at US$16/month, Core at US$23/month, Plus at US$39/month and Advanced at US$99/month (all billed annually). Every plan now includes basic e-commerce capabilities, which is a welcome change from the old structure that locked online selling behind higher tiers. Annual plans include a free custom domain for the first year, and there is a 14-day free trial to test things out.

For Singapore businesses, Squarespace integrates with Stripe for payment processing, which supports SGD and major credit cards. However, it does not natively support PayNow or local bank transfers, you would need workarounds for those. GST configuration is manual, and the platform’s tax tools are less sophisticated than Shopify’s. On the positive side, Squarespace’s built-in analytics, email marketing and scheduling tools (via Acuity, which Squarespace acquired) make it a decent all-in-one solution for service-based businesses.

The limitation is the same as Wix: no portability. You cannot export a Squarespace site and host it elsewhere. And while the templates are gorgeous, the editor is more constrained than Wix’s, you work within the template’s structure rather than placing elements freely. This keeps designs looking polished but limits creative freedom.

Website: squarespace.com
Best for: Creatives, portfolios and brand-focused businesses that want stunning design with minimal effort.
Pricing: US$16–US$99/month (~S$22–S$135/month, billed annually).
Standout strength: Award-winning templates that make even a first-time builder’s site look like it was designed by a professional.

05

Webflow: The Best Website Builder for Singapore Design Professionals

Webflow occupies a unique space: it is a visual builder that outputs clean, production-quality code. If you are a designer who understands web concepts like flexbox, CSS grid and responsive breakpoints but does not want to write code by hand, Webflow is transformative. It bridges the gap between drag-and-drop builders and hand-coded sites.

Site plans start at US$18/month for a Basic site (no CMS), US$29/month for a CMS-enabled site and US$39/month for the Business plan. E-commerce plans run from US$42–US$84/month. Annual billing saves roughly 20–25%, bringing the CMS plan down to about US$23/month. Workspace plans for teams and agencies start at US$19/month (billed annually). In SGD, expect to pay roughly S$25–S$115/month for most use cases.

Webflow’s CMS is excellent, it is flexible, visual and supports complex content structures without plugins. The built-in interactions and animations engine is best-in-class, letting you create scroll-triggered animations, parallax effects and micro-interactions that would normally require a front-end developer. Performance is strong too; Webflow sites are hosted on AWS and Fastly’s CDN, delivering solid load times to Singapore visitors.

The catch is the learning curve. Webflow is not a beginner tool. It assumes you understand how the web works, box model, positioning, responsive design. If those terms mean nothing to you, you will struggle. It is also overkill for simple brochure sites. We have seen Singapore businesses spend weeks learning Webflow to build a five-page site that could have been done in Squarespace in an afternoon. Use it when the project demands it, not because it is trendy.

Website: webflow.com
Best for: Designers, agencies and tech-savvy businesses that want visual design control with clean code output.
Pricing: US$18–US$84/month (~S$25–S$115/month) depending on CMS and e-commerce needs.
Standout strength: The interactions and animations engine, nothing else on the market comes close for visual motion design.

06

Framer: The Rising Star for Marketing Sites

Framer has quickly become the darling of the startup and SaaS world, and it is not hard to see why. Originally a prototyping tool, Framer pivoted to website building and brought with it a design-first philosophy that produces exceptionally polished marketing pages. If you are building a product landing page, SaaS marketing site or startup portfolio, Framer deserves serious consideration.

Framer recently simplified its pricing to three tiers: Basic at US$10/month, Pro at US$30/month and Scale at US$100/month. There is also a free plan for non-commercial use. Annual billing saves 33% on Basic and Pro plans. The free plan is generous enough for experimentation, you get 10 CMS collections, 1,000 pages and 1,000 CMS items; but sites publish on a framer.app subdomain.

What sets Framer apart is its design tooling. The editor feels more like Figma than a traditional website builder, with auto-layout, component variants and responsive breakpoints that designers will find immediately familiar. Built-in localisation support is a nice touch for Singapore’s multilingual market, you can serve content in English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil from a single project. Performance is also excellent; Framer sites are statically generated and served from a global CDN.

The downside is maturity. Framer’s e-commerce capabilities are essentially non-existent, there is no native online store functionality. The CMS, while capable, is less flexible than Webflow’s for complex content models. And the ecosystem of templates and third-party integrations is still growing. Framer is brilliant for what it does, but it does not try to be everything.

Website: framer.com
Best for: Startups, SaaS companies and product teams that want a high-design marketing site with fast performance.
Pricing: Free plan available; paid plans from US$10–US$100/month (~S$14–S$136/month).
Standout strength: Figma-like design experience with built-in localisation and static site performance.

07

Carrd: The Budget-Friendly One-Page Builder

Carrd is the antithesis of feature bloat. It does one thing, single-page websites; and it does it extremely well. If you need a personal portfolio, a link-in-bio page, a simple landing page for a side project or a “coming soon” placeholder while your main site is being built, Carrd is hard to beat on value.

Pricing is almost absurdly affordable. The free plan lets you build up to three sites on carrd.co subdomains. Pro Lite is US$9/year (not per month, per year), Pro Standard is US$19/year and Pro Plus is US$49/year. Even the most expensive plan works out to about S$5.50/month in SGD. All paid plans are billed annually with no monthly option, which keeps costs down.

For Singapore freelancers, consultants and solo operators, Carrd is a pragmatic choice. You can have a professional-looking one-page site live in under an hour, with a custom domain, contact form (via third-party integrations) and responsive design. The templates are clean and modern, and the editor is dead simple, there is virtually no learning curve.

The limitations are obvious: one page only, minimal SEO controls, no CMS, no blog, no e-commerce. Carrd is a stepping stone, not a destination. Use it to get online quickly while you plan (or save for) a proper website. We often recommend Carrd to clients who are waiting for their custom web design project to be completed, it gives them an online presence from day one.

Website: carrd.co
Best for: Freelancers, side projects and placeholder pages that need to look good on a tiny budget.
Pricing: Free plan available; Pro plans from US$9–US$49/year (~S$1–S$5.50/month).
Standout strength: Unbeatable value, a professional one-page site for less than the price of a kopi per month.

08

GoDaddy Website Builder: Quick Setup, Limited Ceiling

GoDaddy’s website builder is the fast-food of the website world: quick, convenient and filling enough in the moment, but you would not call it gourmet. It is designed for business owners who want a website up and running in an afternoon with absolutely minimal fuss. And to its credit, it delivers on that promise.

Paid plans start at US$9.99/month for a basic site, US$16.99/month for the Premium plan (which adds appointment scheduling) and US$29.99/month for the Commerce plan (which unlocks the online store). There is a free plan with a GoDaddy subdomain. All prices are for annual billing, and, this is important, they increase significantly after the first year. A domain name is not included in any plan, so budget an extra S$15–S$25/year for that.

The editor is AI-assisted: answer a few questions about your business and GoDaddy generates a site structure, colour scheme and placeholder content. You then customise from there using a simplified block editor. It is less flexible than Wix or Squarespace, but it is faster to get a passable result. GoDaddy also bundles marketing tools, email marketing, social media posts and basic SEO, into the higher-tier plans.

For Singapore businesses, the drawbacks are notable. Payment gateway options are limited compared to Shopify or WooCommerce. GST handling is basic. The templates are functional but generic, your site will look like it was built on GoDaddy, which is not necessarily the impression you want to make. And the SEO capabilities are surface-level at best. If you are serious about ranking on Google in Singapore, you will hit GoDaddy’s ceiling quickly.

Website: godaddy.com
Best for: Micro-businesses and sole proprietors who need any web presence immediately and have a minimal budget.
Pricing: Free plan available; paid plans from US$9.99–US$29.99/month (~S$14–S$41/month, first-year pricing).
Standout strength: Fastest time-to-launch, you can have a live site within an hour of signing up.

How to Choose the Right Website Builder for Your Singapore Business

With eight solid options on the table, the decision can feel overwhelming. Here is a simple framework we use when advising clients:

1. Start with Your Primary Goal

Selling products online? Shopify is the default choice. WooCommerce (on WordPress) is the alternative if you want more control. Neither Framer nor Carrd will work for e-commerce.

Showcasing a portfolio or creative work? Squarespace or Framer. Both produce beautiful results with minimal effort.

Building a content-heavy site with a blog? WordPress is unmatched. Webflow’s CMS is a strong second option.

Just need a simple online presence? Carrd if budget is tight, Wix or GoDaddy if you want more pages.

2. Consider Singapore-Specific Requirements

Payment gateways: If you need PayNow, GrabPay or local bank transfers, Shopify and WooCommerce have the best native support. Squarespace and Wix support Stripe (which handles SGD) but lack local payment method integrations.

GST compliance: Shopify handles GST automatically. WordPress/WooCommerce offers granular tax configuration. Other platforms require manual setup.

PDPA compliance: No builder handles this fully out of the box. You will need to configure cookie consent banners, privacy policies and data handling procedures regardless of your platform. Our PDPA compliance guide covers this in detail.

Multilingual content: Framer has built-in localisation. WordPress has mature plugins (WPML, Polylang). Other platforms offer varying degrees of multilingual support.

3. Think About the Next Two Years

The biggest mistake we see is choosing a platform for today’s needs without considering tomorrow’s. A Carrd site is perfect for a new freelancer, but if you plan to add a blog, an online store or client portal within a year, you will end up rebuilding from scratch. Choose a platform that can grow with you, or accept that migration is part of the plan.

When to Skip the Builder and Hire a Professional

Website builders are excellent tools, but they are not the answer for every situation. After years of building sites for Singapore businesses, here are the scenarios where we consistently see DIY platforms fall short:

Your website is your primary revenue channel. If your business depends on your website to generate leads, close sales or process transactions, the marginal gains from a professionally built site, faster load times, better conversion rates, tighter SEO, compound significantly. A 1% improvement in conversion rate on a site doing S$50,000/month in revenue is S$500/month. That pays for professional development several times over. We have written about what professional websites actually cost in Singapore if you want to understand the investment.

You need custom functionality. Booking systems that integrate with your existing CRM, custom calculators, member portals, multi-vendor marketplaces, API integrations with third-party services, these are the things that website builders handle poorly or not at all. If your requirements go beyond pages, posts and a contact form, you likely need custom development.

Brand differentiation matters. Template-based sites look like template-based sites. If you are competing in a crowded Singapore market, say, interior design or F&B; and your competitors all have Wix or Squarespace sites, a custom design immediately sets you apart. First impressions are formed in milliseconds, and a generic template undermines the premium positioning you are trying to build.

Performance and SEO are critical. Website builders add overhead, extra JavaScript, render-blocking resources, slower server response times. For businesses investing in SEO or running Google Ads, these performance gaps directly impact rankings and Quality Scores. A hand-coded or framework-based site (like what we build with Astro or Next.js) will outperform any builder on Core Web Vitals.

You are spending more time on the website than your business. This is the one we see most often. A business owner spends three months learning Wix, troubleshooting layout issues, watching YouTube tutorials and still is not happy with the result. The opportunity cost of that time, time not spent on sales, operations or strategy, far exceeds the cost of hiring a professional from the start.

Need Help Choosing or Building? We Do It for You

We genuinely hope this guide helps you find the right platform. Website builders have democratised the web, and that is a good thing. But if you have read through all eight options and thought “this is more complex than I expected”, that is completely normal.

At TerrisDigital, we build high-performance websites for Singapore businesses using modern frameworks like Astro and React. Our sites load faster, rank higher and convert better than anything you can build on a drag-and-drop platform. More importantly, we handle the entire process, strategy, design, development, SEO setup and launch; so you can focus on running your business.

Whether you need a complete web design from scratch, a custom web development project with complex functionality, or simply a second opinion on which platform suits your needs, we are happy to chat.

Get a free quote: no obligation, no hard sell. Just honest advice from people who do this every day.

The best website builder for your Singapore business depends entirely on your specific needs, budget and growth plans. Shopify remains the king of e-commerce. WordPress offers unmatched flexibility for those willing to invest the learning time. Squarespace and Wix make beautiful sites accessible to beginners. Webflow and Framer cater to design-savvy teams. Carrd is unbeatable for simple one-page sites. And GoDaddy gets you online faster than anything else.

But remember: a website builder is a tool, not a strategy. The platform matters far less than the quality of your content, the clarity of your value proposition and how well your site serves your visitors. Get those right, and almost any platform will work. Get them wrong, and no amount of premium templates will save you.

If you are still unsure, start with the free tiers. Test two or three platforms with a real page, not just a homepage mockup, but a full page with your actual content. You will know within a few hours which one feels right. And if none of them do, that is what we are here for.
